Timberland is a housing community in Lake Tahoe that is south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, recorded by Placer County in 1934 as the Timberland Tract.​ 

 

It has maintained its original character of a quiet, wooded neighborhood surrounded by national forest.

TAHO, Timberland Association of Homeowners, is a mutual-benefit corporation established in 1986 as a social organization. 

 

Support of TAHO is limited to property owners within the tract. 

 

Support is 100% voluntary for the social and environmental activities within the neighborhood.  Everyone is always welcome at events.​
