WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REVITILIZED OUR HOA!!!

First TAHO HOA MEETING

June 2023
Our new Board Members have their first meeting July 4th.
Our first HOA meeting in YEARS, is Saturday, July 1, 10am.
How wonderful it is that our Timberland Community has come together like this.
"TAHO's" HISTORY: My folks, Dean and Marilee Railton, and our neighbors next door, Don and Kay Allan formed "TAHO" 47-ish years ago - mainly as an excuse to line up multiple blenders for "Fizz Wizz's."

REASONS TO HAVE AN HOA
Reason #1: Timberland is NOT Vegas.

Reason #3: Coyote Awareness

Coyotes ...
*Are always close, watching to lure non-supervised pets.
*Originated in the deep south, Confederates at heart. You can hear their "rebel yell" at night/early mornings (sounds like a bunch of drunk high school kids)
*Coyotes stroll early mornings through Timberland with Tahoe House coffee and their favorite pastry.
*Mixes a wicked Margarita.
*Unprofessional note-takers of "Minutes" at Bear Meetings.
Reason #5: Bear Awareness

Some people
do not know bears are:
*Destructive yet darned adorable.
*Not potty-trained.
*Able to inadvertently turn ON stoves and start fires. Not kidding.
*They will greet you at the door with a shaken martini and dinner started.
*Capable of annihilating your car's interior if you don't lock your doors. Your insurance doesn't cover their mess.
***NOTE: Bears meet bi-monthly to exchange info on locations of accessible homes with the best snacks and peach pie.
FIZZ WHIZZ'S
*My Dad and Don Allan used to line up blenders and let 'r rip.
Hey, IF ANYONE REMEMBERS OR KNOWS THE RECIPE OF A FIZZ (Gin? Vodka? Ingredients???) PLEASE LET ME KNOW...

Reason #2: Timberland entrance is not for dumping

-
The south entrance (where the sign is/will be) is private property with right-of-way rights to Placer County. The north side of our entrance is owned by the State.
-
Dumping on either side violates Penal Code 374.3, Health and Safety Code 117555, and trespassing Penal Codes Sections 601/602.
Reason #4: Info on Tahoe Burn Ban...not "burning man," burn ban...

HOW TO KNOW IF IT IS A "RED FLAG" DAY...
Red Flag indicators are dry, low humidity, and high wind conditions.
When there is a Red Flag warning, these websites will say so.
IT'S OKAY TO HAVE...
A fire in your indoor fireplace as long as you have spark arresters.
I spoke with the North Tahoe Fire District because I needed clarification. They are super people ready to answer questions: 530-583-6911

NEIGHBORHOOD DUMPSTERS
*Memorial Day Dumpsters available for spring clean up

. . . and many more terrific reasons for an HOA.
