I've been in Tahoe for 58 years. Yes, I am that old. My family has been here since the '30s.
My dad and grandparents would have restored the sign if they were still alive. Mom would too if she wasn't so compromised with Alzheimer's. So, I will.
Other old neighborhood signs have disappeared over the years, i.e., Pineland, Swiss Village, Skyland, and more. I couldn't let that happen to the Timberland sign, which was a whisper away from collapsing.
